Botox

Botox is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that smooths fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles.

What Is Botox?

Botox is a non-surgical injectable treatment designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movement. It is commonly chosen by patients who want to soften visible signs of aging while maintaining a natural, expressive appearance. Each treatment is carefully customized based on facial anatomy, muscle strength, and aesthetic goals. When administered by an experienced provider, Botox can create a smoother, more refreshed look with minimal downtime.

What Can Botox Treat?

Botox is most often used for lines in the upper face, including the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes. It may also be used in other areas such as the jawline, neck, chin, and underarms depending on your goals.

In some cases, Botox can help with concerns such as chronic migraine, muscle tightness, and excessive sweating. Your consultation will confirm whether Botox is appropriate for your needs.

How Does Botox Work?

Botox blocks the nerve signals that trigger targeted muscle contraction. As the muscle relaxes, the overlying skin appears smoother and existing lines soften.

Results are temporary and typically last about three to four months. Maintenance treatments help preserve results over time and can help prevent deeper lines from forming.

Treatment Details, Recovery, and Candidacy

Most appointments take about 10 to 15 minutes and involve a small series of injections using a very fine needle. Discomfort is usually minimal and anesthesia is not typically needed.

After treatment, you will receive aftercare instructions. In most cases, you will be asked to avoid rubbing the treated areas and avoid strenuous exercise, tanning, and high heat for the first 24 hours.

You may notice improvement within a few days, with full results typically visible around one to two weeks after treatment. Your provider will advise you on timing for follow up and maintenance.

Ideal candidates are adults in good health with realistic expectations. Botox may not be recommended for patients with certain neuromuscular conditions or for those who are pregnant or nursing.
